The proposal ♡

Since the weekend, Raj & I have been so overwhelmed with all of the celebrations and wonderful responses we’ve had that I haven’t had a chance to share our magical story until now. We’ve been taking it all in and enjoying our time together as the newly engaged! There is not a better feeling than being able to call him my now, Fiancé. Raj really went to great lengths to express his love for me and I am literally feeling like the luckiest girl in the world, he really impressed me every step of the way. Starting with a surprise holiday to Italy, whisking me away to beautiful Sorrento whilst staying at the most charming hotel; Hotel Villa Garden. It’s utterly picturesque as its pink and white and surrounded with beautiful flowers, overlooking the sea. He really does know me better than anyone else.  We spent our holiday exploring the beautiful town, enjoying beautiful Italian cuisine, and lapping up our time together in the much needed sunshine.

On Saturday day time, we found a hidden gem as we went to the roof terrace on top of our hotel. We couldn’t believe that nobody was up there enjoying the stunning views, until later on we realised it was the owners private terrace and we weren’t supposed to be up there at all!

After having drinks that evening, Raj said to me “lets sneak upstairs again and get a great photo of the sunset”. Feeling nervous I thought ok, but lets make it quick haha.
Little did I know, the moment I walked through the doors, Raj had set up a table facing the perfect sunset over the ocean, with champagne on the table, surrounded with rose petals and the little red box. Raj grabbed the box, got down on one knee, said the most beautiful speech ever and asked me to marry him. We were both very emotional, I was totally speechless and of course, I couldn’t wait to say YES. Honestly, it is the most surreal feeling in the world knowing that someone wants to spend the rest of their life with you.A violin played in the background and as we sat down, a waiter appeared behind me to pour our champagne and take plenty of photographs so we could remember the moment forever.

We celebrated as we drank our champagne as the sunset went down, listening to the beautiful music and sharing the most magical moment of our lives together. Later on, Raj took me for dinner and drinks at Terrazza Vittoria which was absolutely devine. The food, service and atmosphere was perfect as we continued to celebrate. I was truly spoilt from start to finish.
As for my abslolutely breathtaking ring; Raj went to great lengths to make it perfect, even the box lights up as it opens! Raj had the ring custom designed, so it is filled with true love and thoughtfulness from him to me. The band itself is full of diamonds and the inside is engraved with R♡M. The main diamond is high set and and he had it surrounded by hearts either side of the frame. My favourite detail of all, is that the main diamond is Rajs mothers diamond. Meaning this ring will forever live on as a true heirloom in our family.  The ring is so beautiful and so sparkly – it’s everything that I could have dreamed of and more. The pictures just don’t do it justice and I can’t stop staring at it. It really is phenomenal and I can’t believe the effort Raj put into every last detail for me. He knows me so well it is unbelievable.

We’ve really been through every step possible in our relationship; I’ve lived with Rajs family, I came home from traveling early for him, we now have our own apartment in London together and for some time now we’ve been taking steps to buy our first home together and now were engaged! I really hope our next step will be making the house a home, as we get a puppy!
