Part III – Benihana

The final part of my wonderful birthday weekend was dinner in Chelsea at Benihana’s! I had never even heard of this restaurant before going there and I had absolutely no idea where Raj was taking me or what type of cuisine it was going to be. It’s Japanese by the way!

My black coordinate satin outfit was perfectly suited to the restaurant and the trousers are so comfy! I usually wear the trousers on a summer day and I like to pair the top with jeans and stilettos too. It’s a look from Topshop which I bought last year.

This was my first experience with a chef cooking directly in front of me and sitting around a table with a variety of random people, but it was great! It really adds to the experience. We had the opportunity to mingle with other couples, whilst watching the chef cook everything.

Our chef was not only absolutely hilarious, he literally put on a show for us whilst cooking the food. He made the evening! The chefs are incredibly talented and skilful with the tricks they perform – if you saw my Snapchat (@marinamaytum) or Instagram (@marinamay) then you’d have seen just how exciting our evening was.

Moving on to the food, it is unbelievably well priced for all the food you get! I was totally full after the first few dishes. The food was absolutely delicious and it was presented very well. We went for the steak and chicken which we highly recommend. There was virtually zero waiting time for food / drinks which is amazing.

To finish the evening I was sung happy birthday by the staff with a candle lit ice cream dessert. I was very impressed with how much effort and how special all the staff made me feel.

As we finally made it home I was surprised yet again with a candle lit cake waiting for me on the table! I was utterly spoilt over my birthday weekend and was left a very happy 22 year old!
