Blackouts in summer

My go to colour will forever be black. It matches everything, it flatters every skin tone, it pleases every figure, it can be worn for all occasions and during any season. What more could we want? It’s not only super chic, you never have to worry about matching! Lets face it, head-to-toe black is the easiest solution to every wardrobe dilemma and you know black NEVER goes out of fashion. To top it off, according to Complex magazine, a study confirms that wearing black clothing makes you appear more attractive, intelligent and confident! *Let me just throw out every other colour I ever purchased*.
In London the weather is still torn between sunny and warm muggy days. There is no happy medium! So I think this is the perfect look. It covers the legs at the perfect length, yet it shows off the perfect amount of arms and décolletage. Its a light weight material with a subtle flare just past the hips.

This gorgeous Spring / Summer satin like dress is from H&M and it was a total bargain for only £39.99. It’s elegant ankle length and flattering V neck is the perfect combination. It cinches at the waist showing off your curvaceous figure and has a charming frill around the neckline which looks great when it flows gently in the wind. The frill also leads around the back of the dress so you’re figure and look is complimented from every angle.

At only 5ft4 my little legs need all the height they can get, so thankfully the horizontal stripes give that taller effect and they aren’t too noticeable as the dress has a glossy sheen.

Keeping it simple, yet glam – I kept to a black and gold look by wearing my Kurt Geiger lace up heels, my classic Chanel handbag, and my plain gold Burberry watch.

Personally, I found this dress slightly harder to pair with shoes and I think delicate, classy heels worked best. Sandal heels always look fabulous!

The finished touch was my curly blow dry with sunglasses pushing my hair out of my face, showing my structure, keeping it clean and elegant. It perfected this entire look to give an overall glamour finish.
